We are pleased to announce that our AIlay4Care project has obtained funding from the Marche Region as part of the tender “PR MARCHE FESR 2021-2027 – Incentives for Enterprises for Collaborative Industrial Research and Experimental Development”, aligned with the regional smart specialization strategy.

This project aims to design a “Digital Ally” for supporting clinical decision-making in neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases.

AIlay4Care project is conducted by NLAB Research Center S.r.l. in collaboration with NET MEDICA ITALIA S.r.l., DEEP REALITY S.r.l., and AIDAPT S.r.l. It promotes an integrated, multidisciplinary, and patient-centered approach that enhances cooperation between healthcare professionals and technical experts.

Specifically, the project aims to develop a cloud-based infrastructure for data collection, integrated with a user interface that:

• Enables the creation and testing of a new simulation environment for immersive and semi-immersive virtual reality, applicable in hospital settings to support patient rehabilitation activities;

• Incorporates a web-based app with task-oriented features to enhance diagnostic accuracy;

• Facilitates the development of AI algorithms for storing, visualizing, and predicting clinically relevant program indices;

• Supports the creation of orthotic devices through Generative AI-based 3D printing.

The participation in this tender involved SINERGIA Consulenze S.r.l., which assisted the partnership in key tasks related to technical-financial management and project reporting.

This initiative represents key opportunity for NLAB and our project partners to advance our understanding of the causes, mechanisms, and progression of neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases, overcoming existing limitations.
